Dr. Carole Durussel, Co-Lead of the STRONG High Seas project, with co-authors published a scientific paper Strengthening the legal and institutional framework of the Southeast pacific: Focus on the BBNJ package elements in the International Journal of Marine and Coastal Law.

The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) as coordinator of the STRONG High Seas project has received observer status at the meetings of the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO).

Random Sunday morning thought: why is that when the transfer of knowledge is from North to South we call it “capacity building”, and when it is from South to North it’s just a mere “consultation”. Do you see the problem or is it just me?
