It is coordinated by the Research Institute for Sustainability (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rifs-potsdam.de\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RIFS)<\/a> at GFZ, formerly the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iddri.org\/en\">IDDRI<\/a>), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmg-thinktank.com\/\">TMG<\/a> \u2013 Think Tank for Sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to facilitate informal dialogue, the Marine Regions Forum allows decision-makers, scientists, civil society representatives and other actors to exchange outside of formal governance processes. This enables common understandings of challenges and opportunities faced by marine regions and, ultimately, collective responses.<\/p>\n<p>Environmental solutions require a new type of knowledge production and decision making processes.
